From Friday till Sunday, all Trasnochando events will take place at the Tegeler Seeterrassen. It is idyllically situated in the center of the historical Berlin borough of Tegel, and directly on the shore of the Tegeler See, one of the most beautiful lakes in Berlin.

With its heady architectural style of the sixties, the grand ballroom has been perfectly conserved in its original condition. The 9 meter tall room is lit at night by beautiful warm grand chandeliers, and during the day by a flood of natural light from the large windows. The entire ballroom is covered with a beautiful parquet floor, perfectly suited for dancing. We will of course arrange the room to maximize opportunities for using cabeceo. Ample room is available to walk around the dancefloor without disturbing the dancers.

Our bar will keep us well provisioned during all of our dancing.

When not dancing, you can relax in one of upstairs gallery lounge areas. From here you can follow all the activity on the dancefloor closely.

In the large and inviting lobby you will find the free cloak room, where you can leave your belongings, and complete final preparations for an unforgettable Berlin tango experience.

Exclusively for all our beautiful tangueras, there will be a separate changing and make-up room, upstairs adjacent to our Fashion area. It will be open during all dance events.

Next to the ballroom, you will find the in-house restaurant, which is open daily from 12:00. From 14:00 the in-house café opens, where you can enjoy the local sweet delicacies. We look forward to a fabulous festival at this wonderful location!

Around the Tegeler Seeterrassen

The 4.6 square kilometers large "Tegeler See" is the second largest lake in Berlin. Just North of the lake, a few minutes away from the festival location, is the oldest oak tree in Berlin, the 900 year old "Dicke Marie" (lit. "fat Mary"). A charming pedestrian mile links the festival location with the U- and S-Bahn station, and contains many small shops, a modern mall and a large choice of restaurants, cafés and local eateries. Directly at the lake's shore is a quay where you can take a boat trip onto the lake, weather permitting. And of course you can stroll along the walking path which surrounds the entire lake.
